Helen Mirren and Anne Hathaway star in the new Amazon Prime anthology series Solos
His Jewish revenge fantasy Hunters starring Al Pacino was a hit for Amazon Prime Video.
And now writer and producer David Weil has got the go-ahead for another original series for the streamer with a star-studded cast.
Helen Mirren, Anne Hathaway and Morgan Freeman have all signed for Solos, a series of anthology dramas that will premiere later this year, according to THR.com.

The seven parties ‘examine the deeper meaning of human connection through the lens of the individual’, according to a studio statement.
Anthony Mackie, Dan Stevens, Constance Wu, Uzo Aduba and Nicole Beharie join the trio of Oscar winners.
In a statement, Weil described himself as “delighted” to have such a stellar group of artists on board.
“I created this piece with a desire to capture stories about connection, hope, and the search for that common hum of humanity that binds us all,” Weil shared.
“I’m very grateful to … my amazing partners at Amazon for their unwavering support and cooperation in this special project,” he added.

In Hunters, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video in February last year, Pacino played a Holocaust survivor, who in 1977 heads a group of Nazi hunters living in New York City.
The dark comic series focuses on high-ranking Nazis who conspired to usher in a fourth empire in the US and the Hunters’ efforts to thwart their plans and bring them to justice.
The lead role, which also stars Logan Lerman and Lena Olin, has been renewed for a second season.

In Hunters, Al Pacino played a Holocaust survivor, who in 1977 led a group of Nazi hunters living in New York City. Logan Berman, along with Pacino and Lena Olin, was also in the lead role.
