When Senator Josh Hawley raised his objection to the certification of the Electoral College, the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) erupted in a standing ovation, cheering and a “US” song.

“For the past six weeks, the radical left, their corporate allies, and the liberal media have tried to cancel me, censor me, expel me, shut me down, stop me from representing the people of Missouri. that I represent you, and guess what? I’m here today, I’m not going anywhere and I can not stand back, ‘Hawley said.

“I did what my Democratic colleagues did during every election a Republican has won in the last twenty years,” arguing that Democrats objected to voting in 11 different states.
In 2017, when then-Vice President Biden chaired the Senate, he rejected half a dozen House Democratic objections to Trump’s victory.
“I thought it was an important position to take, and for that the left followed. They tried to silence me. They canceled a book,” said Hawley, a permanent ally of former President Trump .

Hawley said he was working on a new nationalism, a new agenda to make the rule of the people in this country true. ‘
“We are not the past, we are the future,” he said of Trump-style populist Republicans like him.
Hawley, who along with Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, led the fight against certifying the outcome of the election college until there was a congressional inquiry into voter fraud, took heat for what many played a role in the riots of pro-Trump rioters that then stormed the Capitol on January 6th. He lost a book deal with Simon & Schuster, and the Democrats launched an ethical charge against him, with some demanding that he resign.
Hawley’s passionate response to CPAC was an indication of a conference closely aligned with Trump, predicting that the former president’s power in the GOP would decline in the days following President Biden’s inauguration.

Hawley, who has attracted nationwide attention by standing up for Big Tech and avenging ‘conservative censorship’ by proposing urgent bills to curb their power, is believed by some to be fishing for a 2024 run as Trump not in the mix.
