Sunday was a new milestone in the COVID-19 vaccination effort in Santa Clara County as workers in the education and child care, emergency services and food and agriculture industries came into consideration.
At the Monterey Mushrooms plant in Morgan Hill, health officials began the process of vaccinating 1,000 farm workers as part of a two-day effort.
“Our goal in the province is to make sure that everyone has access to vaccination when they are eligible and especially those who work in sectors hardest hit by COVID and who work in communities hardest hit by COVID here. country, ‘said Dr. Sara Cody, provincial health officer.
Dr Marty Fenstersheib, the province’s COVID-19 testing and vaccine officer, said on Sunday that nearly 20% of the country had been vaccinated at this stage.
