Australian Open winner Naomi Osaka trolls her runner-up – deadline

Australian Open winner Naomi Osaka made the name game wrong.

After Osaka’s match with Jennifer Brady, the runner-up, Osaka received a speech during her speech. The unforced error is seen in some circles as an adaptation of her opponent.

Osaka defeated Brady 6-4 6-3 to win her second Australian Open title and fourth Grand Slam. During her acceptance speech, she turned to Brady and asked, “Do you like being called Jenny or Jennifer?”

Brady responds clearly. “Jenny.”

Osaka did not miss a beat. “First of all, I want to congratulate Jennifer.”

The 23-year-old Osaka, a Japanese, praised Brady. But the damage was done as the Twitter rage crowd took turns. So far, the score seems to be divided between rudeness, a mistake in the moment and trolling.

See and decide for yourself.
