Important routes are planned to start again in different phases in 2021, with a view to a phased, healthy and safe return to the country on a gradual basis.

Here is the latest:

Carnival Cruise Line

Carnival Cruise Line recently extended its operations in the US until April and hopes to sail again in May.

In January, the brand also announced major implementation and schedule changes for a number of ships, including the Carnival Miracle, which canceled sailings until September.

Meanwhile, three other ships delayed their service delivery until November due to drought plans.

As previously announced, the new Mardi Gras has also delayed its first cruises until May 29th.

Royal Caribbean International

Royal Caribbean resumes operations in December with a short-haul program dedicated to the local market in Singapore at the Quantum of the Seas. The operation was recently extended to June.

Worldwide, cruises are suspended until May 1. Additional cancellations were due to the sale of the Empress of the Sea and the Majesty of the Sea, who left the Navy in December.

MSC Cruises

Following a decision by the Italian government, MSC had to suspend Mediterranean operation in December, but has already returned to service. The MSC Grandiosa, which had previously sailed in the region since 16 August, resumed sailing with guests on 24 January for a itinerary with visits to Italy and Malta.

Meanwhile, the temporary disruption of US-based cruises has been further expanded, with the company sailing until April.

Norwegian Cruise Line

This month, Norwegian Cruise Line announced a further extension of its service breaks, which now affect all voyages until 31 May.

The company also confirmed that it is still working on a return-to-service plan to meet the requirements of the Framework for Conditional Sailing Order issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

After receiving staff for a possible restart, Norwegian recently decided to withdraw all non-essential crew.

Costa Cruises

After Costa reactivated a total of three ships since September, Costa had to suspend all operations again in December.

The company initially planned to welcome guests back in early January, but the date was later postponed. Now Costa expects to resume on March 27.

To date, the 5,200-guest Costa Smeralda is scheduled to begin an Italian program with three, four and seven night sailings.

From May, the Costa Luminosa will start sailing to Italy and Croatia, while the Smeralda will have to serve in France and Spain on its itineraries.

Disney Cruise Line

After Disney Cruise Line returned its ships to the US in November, it canceled all cruises departing until April 2021. In line with other US operators, the company is currently planning a restart in May.

However, some cruises on Disney Wonder and Disney Magic are also canceled.

Princess Cruises

In January, Princess Cruises extended its operating break to sail until May 14. Later that month, the company canceled the entire schedule of the Pacific Princess, which was sold to Azamara.

In addition, cruises of more than seven nights in the United States have already been canceled until November 1st.

Other transactions that led to additional cancellations were the early transfer of ships to P&O Australia and the sale of the Sun Princess and Sea Princess.

Genting Cruise Lines

Dream Cruises recently expanded its short-haul program in Singapore to June 27. The sailings are aimed at the local public aboard the World Dream and have been available since November.

The Explorer Dream, meanwhile, has been sailing on Taiwan since July.

AIDA Cruises

After briefly resuming its service on 17 October, AIDA resumed operations on 5 December, as the AIDAperla undertook a seven-night voyage to the Canary Islands. The vessel was soon followed by AIDAmar, which started sailing in the Canary Islands later this month.

However, the voyages had to be suspended again shortly afterwards due to IT problems.

A new exclusion in Germany forced the brand to cancel all operations until March 19.

Famous cruises

In line with other Royal Caribbean Group brands, Celebrity Cruises has extended the suspension of the voyage for its global fleet in January. All sailings until April 30 are canceled.

Furthermore, the company canceled all of Europe and transatlantic voyages on the Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Constellation.

Holland America Line

Holland America Line has extended its disruption of cruise activities and departed on all ships until April 30th.

Mediterranean cruises will be canceled until early June, while Alaska and Canada / New England are questioning Canada’s ban on cruise ships.

In addition, the voyages had previously canceled voyages visiting eight or more nights in the U.S. port until November 1st.

TUI Cruises

With a program in Northern Europe, TUI Cruises was one of the first sailing lines to start sailing on 23 July.

The German brand is currently operating in the Canary Islands, with the Mein Schiff 2 as well as the Mein Schiff 1.

Windstar Cruises

In December, Windstar Cruises decided to postpone all of its voyages until May. The company also canceled its entire 2021 Alaska season.

Now the service will resume on May 1 with the Star Legend.

Azamara

Azamara is currently planning to resume on May 1. On that day, the Azamara Journey will sail on a six-night Mediterranean cruise from Civitavecchia.

Silversea Cruises
