President Biden on Sunday commented on the sexual harassment scandal of Governor Andrew Cuomo. He declined to resign, saying he wanted to see what came of the independent investigation into the allegations.
The president was asked by a White House reporter if he thought the three-term Democrat should resign, according to a report from the president’s pool.
“I think the investigation is underway and we need to see what it brings to us,” Biden said.
Earlier on Sunday, House President Nancy Pelosi similarly refused to call on Cuomo to resign, saying only that he should “look into his heart” to decide whether to retire.
