On Wednesday, Bridgerton Regé-Jean Page appears to be claiming to have been denied a key role in Syfy / DC series, Krypton, because of his race.
‘Hearing about these conversations does not hurt any less now than it did then. The explanations did almost more damage [to be honest], ”The actor tweeted. “Just do my thing. Yet we do the work. We’re still flying. ”
While Page did not make it clear that he spoke specifically about it Krypton, the word ‘fly’ seems to be a fairly clear indication that he is referring to the Superman-centered display.
Hearing about these conversations now hurts no less than it did then. The explanations did almost more harm.

Page’s comments come on the heels of an interview with Ray Fisher, published yesterday by The Hollywood Reporter. While Fisher alleged racism and misconduct of Warner Bros. discussed, the co-founder of DC Films, Geoff Johns and others, during the review session on Justice League, the piece was also supplemented on Johns’ alleged problematic behavior outside of that particular production.

Page has reportedly auditioned for the role of Superman’s grandfather, Seg-El, before Bridgerton‘s debut, with the creators of Krypton and express their enthusiasm for not doing traditional casting. Subsequently, however, Page realized that he would not get the role. According to the review of the series, Johns said according to various sources that ‘Superman could not have a black grandfather’. The THR piece proposes that the executive ban the involvement of veto, while also rejecting the idea of making superhero Adam Strange gay or bisexual.
Created by David S. Goyer and Damian Kindler, Krypton is set about 200 years before the birth of Superman, revealing the countless story of the superhero’s grandfather and his fight for justice on his titular home planet. The role of Seg-El ultimately goes to Cameron Cuffe.
