Watch Demi Lovato’s “Dancing With the Devil” Docuseries Preview

Demi Lovato released the trailer for her upcoming documentary series, Dance with the devil. The four-part series will be presented on March 23 via YouTube Originals.

The Michael D. Ratner-directed documentation traces the events and struggles that led to Lovato’s near-fatal overdose in 2018, as well as the aftermath and her journey to physical, emotional, and mental health.

“I don’t even know why I’m sober anymore,” she says in the trailer for her original song of the same name. She later admits: ‘I crossed a line I never crossed’, which apparently refers to her heroin use.

Christina Aguilera and Elton John also appear in the track, addressing the challenges of growing up in the spotlight as well as her recovery. Family and friends believe that the singer hid her struggle well, to the point that she said that she presented one of her best performances during a concert just one month before her overdose.

“I broke down,” she explained, before revealing how close she was to death. ‘I had three strokes and had a heart attack. My doctors said I still have five to ten minutes [to live]. ”

Just as honest as she is about her addiction, she seems equally determined about her future. ‘I’ve had many lives, like my cat you know. I’m in my ninth life, ”she says. “I’m ready to do again what I love, what makes music.”
