(Reuters) – US President Joe Biden’s government on Saturday reshuffled a Baltimore plant that destroyed 15 million doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, developed by AstraZeneca, the New York Times reported Saturday.

The report put Johnson & Johnson in charge of the manufacturing plant in trouble, the report said.

The extraordinary move by the U.S. Health and Human Services will make the Emergent BioSolutions facility dedicated solely to the making of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and is intended to avoid future blends, according to the report, which two senior federal health officials cite. .
