Representative Seth Moulton (D-MA) slammed Tucker Carlson of Fox News on Saturday after the TV host mocked women in the military earlier this week.
Speaking on MSNBC, Moulton, who served in the Marine Corps, called out the conservative Carlson, saying he knew “nothing” about military service.
The Democratic legislature added that Carlson’s remarks for men as well as women were ‘offensive’.
“He does not know what he is talking about. It is not only offensive to women in the army, but also to men in the army. It is offensive to leaders in the army. It is offensive to anyone who is willing to wear a uniform. to defend our basic values, ”Moulton said.
“And by the way, it’s also offensive to women in the workplace across America. These views would be extreme in the 1950s, and it seems like a more appropriate place for Tucker Carlson to hold his talk show,” he said. added.

Moulton’s comments come after Carlson mocked pregnant women in the military and complained that the US military was becoming too “feminine” on Tuesday night.
His remarks come a day after President Joe Biden praised women in the military and acknowledged the recent promotion of two female generals on International Women’s Day.
“So we’ve got new hairstyles and pregnancy suits. Pregnant women are going to wage our wars. It’s a mockery of the U.S. military,” Carlson said Tuesday.
“While China’s military is becoming more masculine as it puts together the largest navy in the world, our military, as Joe Biden says, needs to become more feminine, whichever means feminine,” he adds as a photo of an air force officer carrying the pregnant woman model flight suit appears next to him on the screen.
Carlson has since been encountered by both veterans and active figures in the military. On Thursday, Pentagon press secretary John Kirby publicly reprimanded Carlson for his remarks.
“We still have a lot of work to do to make our military more inclusive,” Kirby told reporters. “What we will absolutely not do is seek staff advice from a talk show host or the Chinese military. Maybe people feel they have something to prove, it’s up to them.”
Senator Tammy Duckworth, a retired lieutenant colonel of the Army, who lost both her legs while serving in the Iraq war, also shot back at Carlson.
“F – k Tucker Carlson,” Duckworth tweeted Wednesday. “While practicing his two-step, American female warriors hunted down Al Qaeda and proved the strength of American women.”
“Happy late International Women’s Day for everyone except Tucker, for whom I can dance even better than,” the Illinois senator tweeted.
In response to the setback, Carlson hit back by calling critics ‘awake generals’ on Friday night.
“It was quite an experience to be the very first target yesterday in the Pentagon’s new ‘Operation Silence the Talk Show Host’. For a moment we will admit that we are almost rattled. Then we realized that as the awake generals “We are treated as they treated the Taliban, we will be fine. Twenty years later, the Taliban are still here,” Carlson said.
On Saturday, Moulton said he felt it was appropriate for the Pentagon to express Carlson’s views.
“I think given the audience he commands, it was appropriate for the Pentagon to respond,” he said.
