A helicopter block built earlier in Mar-a-Lago President TrumpDonald Trump Pelosi urges Newsom to select Schiff for next California AG: Palm Beach City Attorney’s report says Trump will be able to live at Mar-a-Lago Trump helipad at Mar-a-Lago to be demolished soon to become‘s club in Florida, for use during his presidency, will be demolished soon.
According to the Palm Beach Daily News, a permit was drawn Tuesday to demolish the helicopter plate.
It is unclear how long it will take before the helicopter platform is removed, but Pyramid Builders of Palm Beach will remove the helicopter platform for $ 15,000.
The removal has nothing to do with recent events and controversy surrounding Trump’s presidency. Representatives of the club wanted a permit to remove the helicopter platform, and there were never any plans to retain the helicopter block once Trump was no longer president, City Manager Kirk Blouin was quoted as saying by the Palm Beach Daily News.
“It seems to have been more controversial in media reports than it is in actual practice,” Blouin said. “They never made a request to keep it.”
The city originally did not allow helicopter levels, but made an exception when Trump took office due to the argument that Trump would not cause as much traffic on Southern Boulevard as he could fly to Mar-a-Lago.
They allowed the helicopter to be built as long as it was used only for executive purposes. It was built in February 2017.
The demolition of the helicopter takes place while Trump is trying to make Mar-a-Lago his permanent home; however, there is a setback from neighbors and others who said he may not live at the resort.
