Tribunal de Apelaciones falla a favor de Natal en impugnacié de election en San Juan

The Tribunal de Apelaciones revoked the sentencing of the Tribunal of the First Instance of San Juan regarding the election for the Alcaldia of San Juan that radico the candidate by the Movement Victoria Ciudadana (MVC), Manuel Natal Albelo, against the alcalde-elect Miguel Romero.

“We support the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, which revises and revokes the erroneous determination issued 2-1 by a panel of the General Court of Appeals and, restores the well-established decision of the General Court of Tribunal, deciding on the impunity” Romero for his part knows the determination and recalls that he has a 2-1 vote.

Según lee la sentencia Natal “le brindó [a Romero] Adequate notification of the existence of an action against it in a way that could be compared to other interests ”.

“We conclude that this notification does not satisfy the requirements of Article 10.15 of the Electoral Code, nor does it warrant the petitioners’ due process of all proceedings that the notification given on the basis of the allegation and application for injunction. “Now the case is being referred to the First Instance Tribunal until finally all the irregularities of the Unity 77 can be evaluated”, reads a post on the Facebook account of the politician.

Natal has submitted a request to the San Juan First Instance Tribunal to impose Unidad 77 votes in favor of the Romero victory by the support of this municipality.

“It consists of at least 6,593 municipal papers from the Unidad 77, which are illegal and electoral, custodial and due process, which are impossible to determine”, the appeal presented by the candidate in the Alcaldia by the MVC.

Notwithstanding his request was rejected by “by failure to comply with the jurisdictional term established in the Electoral Code of 2020 to place the Impugned Candidate”. It is said, Natal, no place in the impugned candidacy within the term of five days established by Verkiesings.
