Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War developer Treyarch made a recent change that brought it to the players’ speed of movement when they land from a jump.
The change – which was implemented as part of the update implemented on February 4 – was an attempt to limit the “jump shooting”, which allows veteran players to move quickly and even look down at the jump.
Although the developer revealed only a day later that it “will continue to monitor this change in the living environment and make further changes as necessary”, earlier today it adjusted it again, and this time it confirms that the fines ‘slightly reduced’.
Little else has been said, but it’s probably safe to assume that the studio will continue to monitor things in an effort to curb behavior and at the same time keep fans who love cartoons very happy.
A new Call of Duty game will arrive later this year, according to Activision Blizzard’s revenue call Q4 2020. Dennis Durkin, chief financial officer of Activision, discussed what the company envisions for the Call of Duty franchise, which in 2021 ‘has the largest gaming community it has had to start another year’ .
The Call of Duty franchise has been very successful for the past year or so, with the free play Call of Duty: Warzone tons of new players and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War bringing back the ever-popular zombie mode. With the integration of the two, Activision has shown that it is determined to keep Warzone constant in the Call of Duty universe as it enters new stand-alone titles.
Black Ops Cold War was released on November 13, 2020, which is the standard of Call of Duty practice, and the next title in the Call of Duty franchise is likely to start in a similar time frame this year – for sure the holidays.
