TP-Link has made smart home devices before, but it’s going straight to 2021. The router manufacturer has introduced several Kasa devices at CES, including a Kasa Smart Doorbell (aka the KD110). The device helps you to greet couriers (and spot intruders) with a 1080p camera that uses AI-based personal tracking. It is also IP64 rated for weather resistance. You can sign in to Kasa Care if you want 30 days of cloud storage for footage, but you can also use microSD cards up to 128 GB if you prefer to store video locally.
Security cameras also play a big role. A Kasa Spot Pan Tilt cam (the KC410S) offers 2K recording with a starlight sensor for dark scenes and motion detection to track suspicious activity. You can also tell the camera at certain times to “patrol” specific viewpoints. The Kasa Cam Outdoor (KC420WS) combines 2K recording with full-color night video and IP65 resistance.
