'TI & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle' stops production after allegations of sexual abuse

VH1’s reality show is renewed for another season TI & Tiny: friends and family chasing suspended the filming after sexual assault against the leading couple, Clifford “TI” Harris and Tameka “Tiny” Harris, came to light.

In January, Sabrina Peterson accused TI of holding her with a gun in a previous altercation. Peterson also shared a flurry of anonymous confessions in her Instagram story, where more than thirty women later emerged and shared similar stories of Harris and his wife, including trafficking, drugs and coercion.

In a statement to Billboard, the couple says they “strongly deny the allegations are being made.” The Harris also states that they have been in conflict with the primary accuser ‘for more than a decade’ and that legal action will follow if she does not end her allegations.

“We are aware of the allegations, and although they are not related to our program, we have contacted TI and Tameka Harris, as well as local and government officials,” a MTV Entertainment spokesman said. Deadline. “Due to the serious nature of the allegations, we have decided to stop production to gather more information.”

The decision to discontinue the filming is apparently an agreement between the couple and MTV Entertainment. The fourth season of the program would premiere in the spring and follow the Harris duo during the pandemic, as they approach their 10-year existence and establish their new roles as grandparents. Their inner circle of celebrities – Monica, Letoya Luckett and Toya Wright – would also return for the upcoming season.
