A 30-year-old “person of interest” was arrested in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California on Saturday after three young children were fatally stabbed in an apartment in Los Angeles. police said.
The Los Angeles Police Department said Liliana Carrillo was arrested in Ponderosa, California, more than 200 miles from Los Angeles.
The grim discovery of three child victims was made around 9:30 a.m. by their grandmother in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Reseda, LAPD Sgt. David Bambrick told NBC in Los Angeles.
All the victims are according to police under the age of 5, who said they want to interview Carrillo.
Minutes after Carrillo was named a “person of interest” said the LAPD she committed a car hijacking near Bakersfield, California, and possibly drove a stolen Silver Toyota pickup truck.
