While Fauci had earlier suggested that we could overcome the virus as early as June, he recently said that normal daily activities would only return in October or November.

During a recent online Q&A session, Fauci explained that low-risk Americans without underlying conditions could get a vaccine in April. After that, it’s just as much as possible to vaccinate as many people as possible.
Fauci added:
If things go as we plan and hope they do, and we start vaccinating the general public, namely people who are not in a priority group, if we can start it in April and then vaccinate people very aggressively from April , can, June, July and August, I would hope that by the autumn of 2021, end of September, October, November, we will be able to approach a strong degree of normality.
Fauci later added that life may not immediately return to 100% normal, but that it will be safe enough to eat in restaurants, go to the theater and even attend live sporting events.
Looking ahead, Fauci is confident that the U.S. can significantly sharpen vaccinations. Fauci said a few days ago that there was no reason why the US could not reach a vaccination rate of 1 million people a day.
“But a bit of hope is that in the last 72 hours they’ve got 1.5 million doses in their arms,” Fauci said over the weekend, “which averages about 500,000 a day, which is much better than the beginning. when it was much, much less than it was.
