Most families have a standard greeting when they get together, whether a hug or a bite on the cheek. For the royals, who have often been caught on camera greeting family members, it seems to be air-reconciled. But sometimes the interaction makes news that it seems uncomfortable.
Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry’s former bartender Grant Harrold told The Sydney Morning Herald that the action was known as ‘cheek kiss’ [because] you place your right cheek against their right cheek, but you do not air kisses and do not make the loud pucker sound. ”

Prince Harry’s awkward air kiss with someone not expecting it
If you think pictures of Prince Harry greeting his family seem strange, he really stumbled when he tried to give an air kiss to a woman who did not expect it.

The prince shocked one of the Hubb Community Kitchen volunteers as he leaned out with his arms to greet her. Because she’s overwhelmed, Harry decides not to hug her and gives her three air cushions.
Prince Philip was not ready to say goodbye to Prince William
In 2016, when Prince William was a pilot with the East Anglian Air Ambulance, his grandparents undertook a special tour of The Duke of Cambridge’s workplace.
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip were there about 40 minutes. As they left cameras, William gave them each an air kiss, but his grandfather was not ready for it, and it was one moment.

There are several photos captured of King Charles Elizabeth’s hand pillow, but something about the photos always looks uncomfortable.
Judi James, bodybuilder, told Express she believes it has to do with how far their relationship has always been.
