Sunny Hostin, the group of day speakers The view and ABC News ‘legal correspondent, revealed this morning that both of her parents’ parents died within three days of each other due to Covid-19 complications.
Talk on The view On Friday morning, Hostin said she was initially reluctant to reveal that her husband, surgeon Emmanuel Hostin, had suffered such a tragedy.
“Although I have chosen a very public career, as most of you know, those who know my husband, Manny, know that he is intensely private,” Hostin said. “But after talking to him, it was extremely important for me to tell them that we are very sad that Manny lost both his parents during the holidays.”

Dr. A. Emmanuel passed away on December 28 at the age of 83, with mother-in-law, dr. Mary Jesus, who died on New Year’s Day at the age of 78, Hostin said.
Hostin claims that both were ‘very careful’ with preventative measures, and even skipped thanksgiving.
“After much contact detection, we still do not know how they contracted this virus and this disease,” she said. However, they were able to “FaceTime with Manny’s parents while they were dying.”
Hostin thanks her TV staff and the doctors who treated her in-laws.
“Whoopi (Goldberg), because he sent so much food for several weeks,” Hostin said. ‘Ana (Navarro) that she called us and gave us all the information you received when fighting this virus.
