Antonio Brown had an attack for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Super Bowl and managed to achieve the feat while running the wrong route.
According to Buccaneers coach Clyde Christensen, Brown did the exact opposite of what he had to do on the play.
‘AB catches on his touch was supposed to go down and in and then jump out again. He’s going out and jumping in again, ‘Christensen said in an interview with former NFL shooter Pat McAfee on YouTube and Sirius XM. ‘I’m going through the headset like’ did he walk the right route? Did he just do the opposite of what he had to do, and we hit it off for a touch? That was the case. ”
Brown was lined up one-on-one against the safety of Kansas City Chiefs Tyrann Mathieu. He walked a “whip” route, which had to see that he initially cut inside before jumping back to the sideline. Instead, Brown reversed the action and swung back instead.
Despite Brown’s fault, Tom Brady managed to compensate for the diversion of the plan and still linked with Brown for the score.
“And this is where Brady does not get a loop,” Christensen said. “He’s just hitting the man. “Hey, you’re going to open, I’ll hit you.” This is where he is unique. A lot of quarterbacks are like ‘hey, he’s supposed to do that. A to B to C. ‘This man, AB, goes C to F back to A and he just beats him for a touch. It was amazing. ”
