Tessica Brown's plastic surgeon reveals details on gorilla glue removal

The question that has been on everyone’s minds this past week is how Tessica Brown is finally going to get the Gorilla glue out of her hair. But after countless failed attempts by Brown and others, one Beverly Hills plastic surgeon was able to crack the code. His name is dr. Michael K. Obeng, managing director, and he is praised not only for his level of skill and knowledge, but also for performing the procedure completely free of charge.

“What Tessica went through is a nightmare,” said Dr. Obeng told ESSENCE ahead of Wednesday’s procedure. “Gorilla glue is used so widely, so it’s going to be difficult, but I’m confident I can fix it.” And he has.

On Thursday morning, the video spread the three-hour procedure, which resulted in Brown’s hair being completely freed from the glue. “Based on my chemical background, I made a solvent from adhesive remover and acetone for medical grade to break through the month’s long shell,” he said.

Aloe vera and olive oil are also included in the formula to help soothe the scalp. “Some of these chemicals in the solvent could have caused chemical burns,” said Dr. Obeng explains. “But we were equipped to handle it.”

What apparently shocked everyone the most was that Brown was able to retain so much hair after the procedure. According to dr. Obeng that was the intention. “The solvent was never made to break down the hair,” he says. ‘Due to the chemicals and the condition of the hair, it will initially be damaged, but she will have hair. And it will continue to grow. ”

Dr Obeng insists that the recovery time is also minimal.

“Once it’s done, it’s pretty simple,” he says. “After this, we have to monitor what products she uses on her hair, but she will recover one hundred percent.”
