TCL’s AiPQ engine can scale 4K content to higher brightness and sharpness on the new 6 Series. The biggest problem facing 8K is a lack of original content in that resolution – and the situation will not change any time soon. But it looks like TCL wants to drop at least 8K TV prices. Now the question becomes how much more expensive this 6-series will surpass its predecessor. We do not know yet.

The 4 Series is out the gate of the XL collection for the first time: it’s coming this quarter for $ 1,599. Not bad for a large 4K screen.
