Taylor Swift made history with her third album of the year for Folklore at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night (March 14).
The bartender of Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles, Candice Fox, awarded the four honors outside the Staples Center. Swift and she Folklore collaborators, The National’s Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff, accompanied Swift on stage to accept the award. Dessner began the acceptance speeches by thanking his family and meditating on ‘standing up here with one of the greatest living songwriters who has somehow trusted me to work together in this crazy time we are all experiencing has.’
“I want to thank all my co-workers on stage,” Swift said in her speech. “But mostly we just want to thank the fans. You met us in this imaginary world we created, and we can not tell you how honored we are with this forever. Thank you very much, and thank you very much to the Recording Academy. We will never forget that you did it for us. Thank you very much. “
