Tarrant County one-day high reports 3,361 cases of COVID-19, 18 deaths – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Tarrant County Public Health on Saturday reported 3,361 additional cases of COVID-19 with another 18 deaths. The case number represents a one-day highlight for the country, and is only responsible for data processed on Thursday.

Information for January 1-2 will be reported Sunday, a health department spokesman confirmed.

Dallas County also reported a one-day high on Saturday.

Data from the province’s health department indicates that 2865 cases of the additional cases reported on Saturday are confirmed, while the other 496 are likely.

The country did not report business on Friday due to the New Year holidays.

The 18 additional deaths reported Saturday bring the total coronavirus-related deaths in Tarrant County to 1,512.

The deaths included a Fort Worth woman in her 90s; four men in their 80s from North Richland Hills, Arlington, Mansfield and Grand Prairie; five men and two women in their 70s from North Richland Hills, Mansfield, Sanson Park, Fort Worth, Arlington, Haltom City and Azle; a man and woman from Arlington in their 60s; a man and woman from Arlington in their 50s; a man from Fort Worth in his 40s; and a man from Fort Worth in his thirties.

According to the Department of Health, all but one have underlying health conditions.

The province began reporting both probable and confirmed cases in August at the request of the state health department. Likely cases, according to the province, are responsible for different situations in the real world and can highlight issues in the community that would not otherwise be reported. To date, the country has reported 134,011 confirmed cases of the virus and 19,354 probable cases for a total of 153,365 cases.

The province also reports another 1,366 estimated recoveries, bringing the total number of survivors to 110,335.

Of the cases in the country, 71% of those who died were older than 65 years. Those between 25 and 44 years old are the largest percentage of people with COVID-19, with 36%.

According to the COVID-19 public health panel in Tarrant County, the adult ICUs on Friday were 99% and the total bed occupancy rate for all hospital beds in the country was 87%.

The health department reported that 1,399 COVID-19 patients currently occupy hospital beds in the country as of Thursday. One month ago, on December 1, 884 COVID-19 patients occupied hospital beds in Tarrant County.
