After a violent attack by supporters of President Donald Trump on the American Capitol, Steve Kerr, head coach of the Golden State Warriors, had a message to the Republican senators that ignited the conspiracy theories of the election that fueled Wednesday’s uprising.
In a conversation with the media before a game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, Kerr suggested that Sens. Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Josh Hawley do the same before meeting at the Capitol.
“I wish people like Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Josh Hawley should play beforehand before they meet in Congress,” Kerr said. “It would be great for them to answer the question, ‘Are you happy now? Do you keep moving the line back? Does it change anything? Do you continue to activate? ”
Why did Kerr single out senators?
Hawley, a Trump loyalist representing Missouri, was the first senator to announce that he would object to the counting of election college votes confirming President-elect Joe Biden as Trump’s successor. Hawley cited unfounded election theories put forward by Trump that votes in some states that went for Biden were invalid.
He was seen supporting the crowd on Wednesday.
The count would take place Wednesday through Congress before the mob by Trump and his supporters attacked the Capitol in an attempt to overthrow the democratic process.
Hawley did not want to withdraw his objection when the Senate reconvened Wednesday night in the wake of the attack.
Cruz, a Trump loyalist representing Texas, also vowed before the attack to object to the number of votes from the Electoral College. He was one of six senators with Hawley to carry out his objection Wednesday night.
Rubio, a Republican in Florida, declined to comment on the certification of the Electoral College. He pushed an unfounded conspiracy theory on election day to support Trump’s attempt to delegate the election.
Trump is on a #Florida with 3.5 points and 381000 votes with 91% reporting and only 50,000 votes left to count.
It’s over. So why wouldn’t they name the race?
To deny Trump an early victory in the state until Arizona and Nevada close.

Kerr talks about police response to Capitol mob
Kerr also drew attention to the contradiction in the way police handled most white rioters Wednesday compared to the systemic violence endured by black Americans by law enforcement.
“What you see today is a reminder that there is a big difference,” Kerr said. … We all understand that at the moment guns would burn and fire would burn if there were black people protesting. … Nothing is going to change until we acknowledge that there is a big difference in the treatment of black people in terms of law enforcement. ”
Police were seen posing with attackers on Wednesday, helping them walk down stairs.
Kerr was not the only person to make that remark on Wednesday.
Following Kerr’s predictive comments, Warriors and Clippers players knelt during the national anthem.
