Steve Forbes, the chairman and CEO of Forbes Media, has denounced blacklists of Trump administration officials in defense of a controversial open in his magazine that threatens to threaten companies that appoint Trump “fabulists.”
“Unlike Twitter, media giants and Big Tech companies, we believe in diversity of opinion,” Forbes told Fox & Friends on Wednesday.

Forbes magazine chief content officer Randall Lane has warned companies it may consider hiring Kayleigh McEnany, Kellyanne Conway, Sarah Huckabee Sanders and others who have worked for the Trump administration.
“Let it be known to the business world: hire someone from Trump’s fellow fabulists above, and Forbes will assume that everything your business or firm is talking about is a lie,” Lane wrote in a piece published Thursday. .
The CEO said his opinion differs from that of his chief content officer.
“It reminds me of what we had during the McCarthy era in the 1950s,” Forbes explained. “People were denied work because of their political beliefs …”
“We’re not going to have blacklists and the like,” Forbes said. “People can express opinions. Unlike other organizations, we have divergent opinions at Forbes, and we appreciate the divergent opinions and I think it shows strength, not weakness.”

Forbes defends the opinion as an ‘example’ of different views that are not so common in universities or Big Tech.
The former Republican presidential candidate said he and Lane were against the cancellation culture, which Forbes called a ‘cancer’ and called on the country to ‘come together and move on’.
