Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel Recap ‘Riveting’ Meghan-Harry Interview – Deadline

The drama surrounding the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, became the latest topic for television late at night when hosts Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel recorded the recording of the bomb carried by Oprah Winfrey.

“If you don’t catch it, things get really fast,” Colbert said Monday during his opening monologue.

While telling everything on Sunday, Markle and Prince Harry found out the questionable treatment they had received from various members of the royal family. In the interview, Markle told Oprah that she endures serious mental health problems and racist attitudes. Of the issues discussed during Sunday’s interview, a conversation about how dark the couple’s son Archie would be attracted the most attention, including that of Colbert.

While a number of viewers, 17 million Americans to be exact, agreed with the drama, many celebrated Winfrey’s interview skills. The Late Show the host praised Winfrey for the ‘wonderful interview’.

Jimmy Kimmel, who also praised the television icon for her skills, wished that “there is a way these Oprah offerings can vaccinate us as well.” The Jimmy Kimmel Live host, who said he initially had no interest in watching the CBS special, considered the interview a “two-hour-sounding”

In summing up the explosive conversation, Kimmel shot at more than just the royal family.

“Harry made a number of notable accusations, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo vehemently denied them all, just out of today’s reflex,” Kimmel said.

The host for the late night also accepted the monarchy’s inability to provide Archie with security, his concerns about the baby’s skin and the alleged racist actions against the former royal couple.

“Harry said racism was a big part of their decision to leave,” Kimmel continued. ‘You know things are bad in Buckingham Palace when they come to America to get away from racism.
