Sources – Texas Rangers give SS Elvis Andrus to Oakland Athletics for shrink sock Khris Davis

Oakland Athletics acquired shortstop Elvis Andrus and another Texas Rangers player for designated victim Khris Davis and some prospects, sources confirmed to ESPN.

The A’s will also receive $ 13.5 million and catcher Aramis Garcia from minor leagues, while catcher Jonah Heim and right-hand man Dane Acker go to the Rangers.

Andrus (32) was the Ranger who was the longest after 12 seasons, and the only player left from their rugby match in 2010 and 2011.

Andrus played only 29 games last season due to ongoing problems and hit only .194 with three homers and seven RBIs. He is owed $ 28.5 million over the next two seasons.

For his career, Andrus stole .274 with 76 homers, 636 RBIs and 305.

Andrus decides to replace Marcus Semien at shortstop, who has signed a free agent deal with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Davis, 33, has 218 careers during the eight seasons with the Brewers and A’s. In 2018, he led MLB with 48 homers, but he played just over 30 games last season.

For four consecutive seasons, Davis scored exactly 0.247 before dropping to .220 in 2019.

The trade was first reported by The Athletic.
