Later it was seen sitting on the North Meadow.
The bird quickly became one of the main attractions in the city, and despite sub-freezing temperatures, it attracts large crowds in the park.
Eyewitness News captured Central Park’s rare snowy owl on camera more than a week ago after it was first spotted in more than 100 years.
