SNL Michael Che Transphobia during the weekend setback

During the segment, host Michael Che said: “President Biden has signed an executive order repealing Trump’s ban on transgender people serving in the military. This is good news, except that Biden mentions the policy: ‘Do not ask “Do not restrain.”

It was not long before people on Twitter shouted the joke about transphobia:

What’s Saturday Night Live’s weird obsession with transphobic nonsense? I honestly do not understand it. It’s so lazy and sad. Last night, Michael Che joked about the repeal of the trans ban called “do not ask, do not insert” – for whom is this “joke”? https://t.co/Uu2JpXlrU1

Honestly @nbcsnl, we’ve been mocked for 1 eternity. Do better. I’m tired of our genitals and our existence being discussed, hardened and laughed at. #transisbeautiful https://t.co/PhJ5G9sLmX

Didn’t watch SNL tonight, but was not at all surprised to learn that Michael Che used the lifting of the transgender military ban as his usual transphobic self. His transphobia is not funny and he has to ask himself why he wants to be in the same category as JKR. # SNL

This is not the first time Michael has been accused of being transphobic SNL – he killed Caitlyn Jenner earlier in a ‘Weekend Update’ of 2019 and donated incorrectly.
