According to composer Akira Yamaoka, a new Silent Hill game could be underway.
The Quiet hill series is one of the most popular games. The disappointment when Konami cancels the highly anticipated Silent hills to his staggering playable trailer, PT, was palpable about the game landscape. Since the cancellation and very public separation of Hideo Kojima, the thought of a new Quiet hill was anything but dead. That is, to this day. In an interview with BoJrayed from ALHub, Quiet hill composer Akira Yamaoka has revealed that he had to make a big announcement, but just can’t do it yet.
Asked about his upcoming projects, Yamaoka said: ‘If you like it in general, I think you’ll probably hear something to be announced this summer. I think it’s the one you want to hear a little bit, ‘he adds,’ but we like it very much. ‘

While he clearly did not confirm that he was Quiet hill game, it’s hard to imagine what he’s still talking about. The interview focused mainly on his recent work for Bloober Teams The medium which was launched last week, but this new information is not in line with it. Bloober Team announced yesterday that they have already started work on the next horror project, but did not say whether Yamaoka will return for its score.
