Should Big Six players get an international ban? Should clubs be banned from CL? – Athletics

European Super League: Should ‘six six’ players get international ban? Should clubs be banned from CL?

According to UEFA President Alexander Ceferin, the proposed European Super League is a ‘shameful, self-serving’ plan and a ‘spit in the face of football fans’.

The 53-year-old also said that players representing the teams involved would be ‘banned from the World Cup and the Euros’. The governing body also indicated on Sunday that the players will be excluded from all other competitions at local, European or world level.

The impact on England’s squad for this summer’s tournament would of course be huge without players from Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea. And the Champions League implications will be big, too.

But what do you think? If that happens then is it right that they should suffer as a result of an overall club decision? Or do the dramatic circumstances call for dramatic action? And what about the clubs themselves? Should the clubs also be kicked out of the Champions League and Europa League?
