Tameka Lanise Dudley, 44, was arrested near S. Parker Road and E. Iliff Avenue on Thursday and is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder, aggravated robbery, and first-degree theft of motor vehicles.
Police say Dudley was part of a trio of suspects, two of whom donned reflective jackets and posed as utility workers Monday night to gain access to Mark Outman’s home in the 900 block of North Monaco Parkway.
Outman, 64, was shot dead in his home while a visiting family member was shot and critically injured during the robbery, police said.
Police initially identified the three suspects in the incident as men, but made it clear on Friday that one of them was actually Dudley, a woman. Police described a third suspect as waiting in a car outside the house during the robbery.
Joshua Hamm, 38, fled the house on foot when police arrived but was caught quickly, police said. He is being held on charges of first-degree murder, robbery and possession of a weapon by a criminal.
The other man who fled on foot with a gun into Outman’s home has been identified as 47-year-old Larry Hamm.
He was fatally shot by police after trying to hijack two vehicles and then did so successfully with a third vehicle. A police officer following Hamm shot his gun in the passenger window, where Hamm was sitting, and hit him.
The driver of the vehicle, who did not know Hamm, was not injured except for a few cuts from the flying glass. Hamm later died in a hospital.
In total, three Denver police officers fired their guns during the incident. All three officers are on amended duty while the shooting is being investigated.
Denver police said Friday that they believe all suspects involved in the case are being held accountable. ‘
