Dustin Diamond, best remembered as the nerdy sidekick “Screech” from Saved by the clock, reportedly struggling with stage 4 cancer.
Diamond went to a hospital in Florida over the weekend after experiencing pain in his body from shingles and a general feeling of discomfort. The cancer was then discovered and he is now undergoing his first round of chemotherapy in hopes of beating it back.
The actor had a greasy career Saved by the clock ends in 2000. He appears in several films with little budget, makes TV comos and is in several reality shows. His one triumph was an appearance in the reailty show Box of celebrities on Fox, where he won his game convincingly.
Diamond also wrote a book for everything written in 2009 Behind the clock, which set out the filth on the backstage antics of the show. This may be why the reload of the show that started in November 2020 did not ask him back.
