Youth is wasted on the young people. At least, that’s Russell Crowe taking it.
The actor responded today to an online commentator who underestimated the 2003 email Master and Commander: The Farthest Side of the World. In the film, Crowe plays Jack Aubrey, captain of the Royal Navy.
The film earned $ 212 million worldwide and was nominated for 10 Oscars at the 76th Academy Awards, winning best cinematography and best sound editing, but losing best film and best director to The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
Crowe called the commentator who recommended the film as a sleeping pill.
This is the problem with children these days.
No focus.Peter Weirs film is brilliant. A safe, detail-oriented, epic tale of allegiance to Empire and service, no matter the cost.
Incredible cinematography by Russell Boyd and a majestic soundtrack.
Definitely a movie for adults. https://t.co/22yjNtQRbg– Russell Crowe (@russellcrowe) 17 January 2021
