Ronald D. Moore develops Magic Kingdom TV universe projects at Disney + – deadline

For all mankind executive producer Ron Moore brings the Magic Kingdom universe to Disney +.

Moore is developing several TV projects at the streaming service that will be set up at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, sources close to the situation told Deadline.

Moore will produce the first project, titled, written and executed The Association of Explorers and Adventurers,
a series of the 20th TV set in the Magic Kingdom Universe, where the theme lands and characters of the Disney parks and classic movies actually exist in a different reality.

Moore is also reportedly working closely with the Disney Imagineering Team on other projects that would be the first part of a universe similar to Marvel, but set in the Magic Kingdom. Moore will oversee the entire franchise. Maril Davis and Ben McGinnis of Moore’s Tall Ship Productions are also involved in all of the projects.

Disney + and 20th TV declined to comment.

The Disney + projects come on the heels of Moore’s recently signed multi-year deal with Disney’s 20th TV.

The first project under the agreement is a Swiss Robinson family series at Disney +, with which Moore collaborates Crazy Rich Asians director John M. Chu. Moore currently serves as executive producer of Starz’s Foreigner and Apple TV +’s For all mankind, produced by Sony TV, where he was previously under a contract.

The Hollywood Reporter was first to report the news.
