Robert De Niro, Mike Myers and Chris Rock sign for David O. Russell’s star-studded secret new movie
He’s making his first movie in over five years.
And David O. Russell continues to recruit big names for his top-secret project currently being filmed in Southern California.
Deadline.com reported Thursday that Robert De Niro, Mike Myers and Chris Rock all came on board.
This will be the second time De Niro has worked with the director; he starred in Silver Linings Playbook with Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.
And the rent does not stop there; Anya Taylor-Joy also joins the cast, renewing her award-winning performance in Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit.
Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts and Alessandro Nivola have also just been reported.
Back in action: the top-secret project is Russell’s first film in more than five years, the credits of which include Three Kings, American Hustle, The Fighter and Joy.

The new bunch of talent joins previously announced stars John David Washington, Zoe Saldana and Christian Bale who were spotted at the venue in Saugus outside Los Angeles on Monday.
The cast also features Margot Robbie and Rami Malek.
Russell directs the film from his own screenplay and all that is known is that it is an original story.
The filmmaker underwent a productive phase in the early 2000s, leading a series of sensational releases, including The Fighter, Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle and Joy.
He first became famous with the comedy Flirting With Disaster from 1996, which was followed in 1999 by Three Kings and I Heart Huckabees in 2004.
He has been nominated five times for an Oscar in the category of directing and screenwriting.
