Riverdale’s Vanessa Morgan welcomes her first child with estranged husband Michael Kopech

Riverdale’s Vanessa Morgan welcomed her first child, a boy, with her estranged husband Michael Kopech, according to E! News.

While the duo have yet to confirm the exact date of birth or the baby boy’s name, the 28-year-old CW star and pro baseball player (24) is ‘both very excited’ about their recent arrival of joy.

This summer, they announced their exciting baby news with an emotional Instagram post featuring photos from her gender revelation party, a screenshot of her positive pregnancy test and a video of her very first ultrasound.

“I debated to keep this part of my life hidden, but I knew people would eventually see pictures of my belly and I wanted you to hear it from me,” begins Vanessa, who has 8.6 million fans boasted on Instagram.

Although she wanted to be the first to share the news, Morgan stressed that she intends to ‘this chapter of [her] live privately. ‘

“I am delighted to welcome my baby boy into the world in January. It’s almost as if everything I’ve been thinking in this life has changed completely. We are here for such a greater purpose and life is so precious, ‘she stormed.

In the middle of her caption, Vanessa addressed her unborn son directly and amazed her at how much impact he had already had on her life.

The first mother later revealed that she found out she was pregnant on May 20 – a month before her husband filed for divorce on June 19 in Morris County, Texas, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Morgan’s representative confirmed to the Illinois newspaper that “Michael is the father”, but that did not stop him from ending their five-month marriage.

After a six-month engagement and a year of dating, Kopech and the 5ft2in brunette untied the knot during their ‘fairytale’ wedding on January 4 at Florida’s Historic Walton House in front of 35 guests.

Vanessa previously dated NHL player Nathan MacKinnon (2014-2016) and Degrassi: The Next Generation alum Munro Chambers (2008).

Meanwhile, the 6ft3in athlete has released a well-known star of Brielle Biermann, Don’t Be Tardy, but they ended their two-year long-distance relationship in March 2018.
