Retailers abandon my pillow after Trump CEOs’ election applications

Retailers, including Bed Bath & Beyond, Kohl’s and Wayfair, have stopped selling My Pillow products after Trump-backed CEO Mike Lindell raised unfounded claims of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

Send the news: Lindell told NBC News on Tuesday that retailers had called him to say they could get a “boycott” if they did not take action. But Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl’s both said the decision was related to a lack of demand for My Pillow’s products.

  • Lindell insisted on Fox9 that ‘left’ on social media was behind the move, which according to him also led to HEB dropping My Pillow products.

What they say: Axios contacted all retailers for comment. Bed Bath & Beyond said in a statement to the New York Times: “We have rationalized our range to discontinue a number of underperforming articles and brands.”

  • Kohl’s said in a statement to USA Today: “There is a decrease in demand for MyPillow. We will sell our current stock and not buy additional / future stock in the brand.”

Remarkable: The traders’ actions come a day after Dominion Voting Systems sent a letter of resignation to Lindell about his dissemination of misinformation regarding the 2020 election.
