Emmy-winning Guards lei en A night in Miami director Regina King will make her Saturday Night Live debut tonight and will bring love before Valentine’s Day.
SNL dropped the promotions for the latest episode, with King, musical guest Nathaniel Rateliff and cast Beck Bennett. In the first promo, all three reflect on why February in New York is ‘the most magical time of the year’.
“The wind, the cold, the mud,” King said.
“The sun goes down at 4:30,” Rateliff adds.
“Regular season NBA games,” Bennett continues until King says the lack of positivity amid the coronavirus pandemic “does not work.”
“Yes, the power of positive thinking, my butt,” Bennett says.
The second, short promotion focused more on Valentine’s Day, with Bennett starting the teaser and asking King to be his Valentine. When the Golden Globe-nominated director responds, ‘Of course I will,’ Bennet realizes he’d made a mistake. Although it looks like he asked the Oscar-winning actress to go on a date, the question is really directed at his wife, who he calls via a hidden podcast.
“Are you really waiting?” He asked King before hanging on to his wife. ‘U honey, sorry. Found someone else. I have to go. “
