Real Madrid La Liga Can rest assured for Alaves

Chema Rey
Rnoble Madrid plans to rest Sergio Ramos in Saturday’s match against Alaves but following their Copa del Rey elimination by means of Alcoyano, they can reconsider it.
Without their captain on the field, Los Blancos have struggled to secure victories this season, as evidenced in their 2-1 defeat at the El Collao Stadium on Wednesday.
Ramos has in the Supercopa de Espana semifinal against Athletics Club despite a problem he had with his left knee, and the Real Madrid medical staff suggested he would need some rest to fully recover.
In the match with the Basques, Ramos had to get two injections, one before the warm-up and a few more minutes before the kick-off.
After the humiliating elimination in the Copa del Rey, it should not be ruled out that Ramos can take action again against Alaves.
Meanwhile, it Dani Carvajal has not yet fully recovered from his injury and is not expected to force his return Nacho Fernandez became self-isolating due to contact with a positive COVID-19 case.
This means that, even if Nacho returns, Zinedine Zidane can possibly use Lucas Vazquez at fullback and Ferland Mendy as left back, with Raphael Varane and Eder Militao as centers in Vitoria.
Real Madrid have been beaten eight times in the last ten Champions League matches without Ramos leading their defense.
The Real Madrid captain has missed four LaLiga Santander duels this season, with Los Blancos winning Celta Vigo in Seville, sign one with Villarreal and lose to Alaves at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano.
In the Copa del Rey, Real Madrid won just one of three matches without Ramos on the field. They passed Unionistas de Salamanca last season but previously lost Leganes and was recently defeated by Alcoyano.
It should be noted that Los Blancos also lost matches with Ramos in the starting line-up, such as those against Cadiz, Valencia or Athletics Club.
