Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank welcomed their first child to London on Tuesday
Princess Eugenie is a royal mother!
Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter welcomed her first child, a baby boy weighing £ 1, 1 oz., With her husband, Jack Brooksbank. It is the ninth great-grandchild for the monarch and Prince Philip and the first grandchild for Eugenie’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
“Her Princess Eugenie, a Royal Highness, was born safely today, February 9, 2021, at 8:55 a.m. in Portland Hospital to a boy,” the palace said in a statement. Jack Brooksbank was present.

Eugenie, 30, shared the happy news on her Instagram, with a black-and-white photo of the baby’s hands in his parents, with a caption with three blue hearts.

On September 25, Eugenie shared their exciting baby news on Instagram with a sweet message to the couple with a soft pair of bear slippers, writing: “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021. .. “

Eugenie’s cousin, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle congratulated the couple privately, people understand.
The new parents moved into Frogmore Cottage, Meghan and Harry’s home in Windsor before their new addition in November. The house is just beyond Eugenie’s parental home, the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are also near Windsor Castle.

“Frogmore Cottage still remains the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the United Kingdom,” a source told PEOPLE earlier, “and they are delighted that they were able to open their home to Princess Eugenie and Jack while starting their own family.”
The move showed how close cousins Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie are.

“Eugenie has always been more than just a cousin of Harry. A friend of the couple told PEOPLE earlier: “Eugenie is such a fun person but also very considerate. I think she will be more of a bohemian parent, a bit like her mother, while Jack will be calm and cool be.”
While appearing on the BBC program The One Show in 2018, Fergie (as the Duchess of York is affectionately known) was asked how she feels about one day becoming a grandparent.
“Outstanding!” she said. “They are delighted because I write children’s books and am a child but did not grow up.”

Despite being a member of the royal family and great-granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth, Princess Eugenie is not a senior working royal. Her child is unlikely to receive a royal title. Eugenie works as a director at the London Art Gallery Hauser & Wirth. Meanwhile, Jack is working with tequila company Casamigos, founded by George Clooney, which sold the actor in 2017.
