Prince Philip thought Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview was ‘madness’

Prince Philip apparently thought his grandson Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive Oprah Winfrey interview was ‘madness’.

Philip, who died on Friday at the age of 99, also felt that “nothing good from the beginning of March would tell everything,” his biographer Gyles Brandreth wrote in the Daily Mail on Sunday.

Markle sent shock waves through the royal household when she claimed during the interview that unknown members of the family had expressed concern about the color of Archie’s son.

“I know of someone close to him who thought Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey was ‘madness’ and ‘nothing good will come of it,'” Brandreth wrote, referring to The Duke of Edinburgh.

“I was not surprised, because that’s exactly how he described to me the personal TV interviews that Prince Charles and Princess Diana of Wales gave me in the 1990s.”

However, according to Brandreth, Philip was not bothered by the timing. However, he was critical of the couple revealing their personal affairs.

“The fact that the interview with Meghan and Harry was broadcast while Philip was in the hospital did not bother him,” Brandreth wrote.

‘What really worried him was the couple’s preoccupation with their own problems and their willingness to talk about it in public. “Give TV interviews,” he said, “but don’t talk about yourself.” ”
