A teacher in Central Florida has found herself behind bars after police say she was fighting a group of students outside a fast food restaurant after a high school basketball game.

The NBC subsidiary WFLA-TV reports the incident took place in Bartow on Friday, where a group of students were involved in an argument. After that, the group went to an area to eat McDonald’s.

According to the Bartow Police Department, Liquindella Clark – a teacher in Polk County and the mother of another teenager who was allegedly involved in the first altercation at the school – approached the restaurant.

Clark was removed from the restaurant but waited in the parking lot and allegedly started fighting the group physically. According to police, Clark punched one student in the face, removed her wig and punched a second student in the head.

Witnesses called police who arrested and arrested Clark. She is facing charges of child abuse in the case. Officials did not say whether she would be expelled from her teaching post pending an investigation.
