Pokémon Go Johto Celebration: Field Research and Rewards

Pokémon Go is holding a Johto regional convention from January 26 to January 31, raising the speed limit for Pokémon from that region.

During this period, Pokémon from the Johto region such as Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Hoppip, Miltank and more will appear regularly. Miltank will also be available for the first time Shiny.

Johto baby Pokémon, such as Pichu, Cleffa and Tyrogue, also hatch from five kilometers of eggs obtained during the event period.

This will especially teach the evolution of some Pokémon that this is the rare move of the community day of previous community days. Meganium leather Frenzy Plant, Typhlosion leather Blast Burn, Ampharos leather Dragon Pulse and Tyranitar leather Smack Down. These moves are powerful and worth collecting if you don’t already have them.

Entei will also return to raids as the main boss of five stars.

As with previous events, this task has many tasks and challenges to complete, including field research, established research, and a collection challenge.

Reward: 15 Poké Balls, 1 Incense, 5,000 XP

Step 2 of 2

  • Defeat Team Go Rocket Leader Arlo (2 Max Revives)
  • Defeat Team Go Rocket Leader Cliff (3 Hyper Potions)
  • Defeat Team Go Rocket Leader Sierra (2 maximum drinks)
  • Reward: Ho-oh encounter
