Plastic surgeon dies on COVID after administering lip filler patient positively

Payman Simoni gave lip fillers last month to a patient who called a few days later to reveal that she had tested positive for the coronavirus – and on Friday, the 50-year-old plastic surgeon died of COVID-19. The Beverly Hills Doctor Who Appeared in the Reality Show The doctors and was a celebrity in Hollywood, was tested on Dec. 6 after being briefed on his patient, who had her temperature examined and completed a COVID questionnaire before her procedure. He was positive about the virus, but he was “completely fine” for about a week, family and friends told CBS 2. “Yes, he wore a mask at all times,” says a family friend. “He was a doctor. And he took all the protocols.”

However, TMZ sources say that the patient did not wear one despite his mask, and that she allegedly coughed and ‘sprayed’ him at some point during the procedure. In mid-December, he began experiencing shortness of breath and was shortly afterwards in a ventilator in a hospital in Los Angeles, where he was later placed in a medically induced coma and eventually died of a brain hemorrhage. “The shock is that he was so perfectly healthy,” the family friend said of the father of two. ‘He’s a doctor, I called him when I got COVID. He instructed me to do. ‘ People notes that the CDC stopped elective procedures at the beginning of the pandemic, but has since allowed it again.
