According to the OHP, the two vehicles collided head-on due to strong winds over grass and gravel and Caleb was put out of the truck.

According to the report, Caleb is not wearing his seat belt. It is also said that there is no seat belt in Ladd’s fire truck.

Jerry Roberts, director of Osage County emergency management, said each vehicle had only one firefighter in it and that they collided with each driver’s side. He said the two firefighters are farm workers.

Osage Nation firefighters said more than 200 acres were burned.
