Photos show the beautiful coyote from Central Park in the snow

New photos show the Central Park coyote relaxing in a wooded area of the Manhattan green space.

Images taken by Benjamin Shyman on Friday caught the hairy cribs between naps near the lake, near East 74de Street.

The coyote was previously seen in Central Park last week through the snow – and again a week before that.

The city park department says a coyote “sometimes hangs out in Central Park.”

“New Yorkers should not worry: we believe there is only one coyote; and has no reason to believe that the population has increased at this stage, ”the agency said.

In 2021, the department has so far received only one coyote sighting in Manhattan, but by 2020, 34 coyote sightings were recorded in the city.

Since 2016, the parks division has received 126 reported coyote sightings around the world via the WildlifeNYC website, the agency said.
