Peru approves elimination of parliamentary immunity: Corte Suprema juzgará to the congressmen in office

The plenary of the Congress of Peru will definitely approve this March elimination of parliamentary immunity, a prerogative that in the last few years has seen a large part of the city as an impunity mechanism for various legislators.

The end of this immunity is the response of 103 votes in favor, in front of 14 against and abstention, during the first session of the plenary of the Peruvian Congress this year.

This is the second vote to take advantage of this initiative, that a reform is amended which amends Article 93 of the Peruvian Constitution which is required to be adopted during the two separate sessions of the Legislative Sessions.

CONGRESSES IN MATCHES

From the moment this constitutional amendment is published in the Official Journal, the common commits committed by the congressmen during the ownership of his mandate will be the competence of the Supreme Court of Justice of Peru.

These commitments are made by the parliamentarians before the initiation of their labor legislation ordinary cargo of ordinary criminal justice.
