People farm with the Outriders demo so hard that the developers • Eurogamer.net walks in

UPDATE 6 MARCH 2021: People Can Fly has again stepped in to change the Outriders demo in response to complaints about a previous change designed to tackle heavy farming.

The developer has released an update on the server side to enable the Gauss chest to drop legendary items after it yesterday prevented all boxes from dropping legendary items.

“After listening to very reasonable feedback from the community, we have enabled the Gauss chest to drop legendary versions, as we actually have to reward bosses,” People Can Fly said in a tweet.

However, other coffins still can not drop legendary bags. This means that the popular, previously available three-chest battle battle is not available to those looking for legendary farmer, ahead of the launch of Outriders on April 1st.

ORIGINAL STORY 5 MARCH 2021: The Outriders demo was popular – more than two million people downloaded it – but it also has some issues that the developers would like to tackle.

The most important among them is heavy farming for powerful items, which players are doing in anticipation of the game’s release on April 1, 2021.

Progress in the Outriders demo continues into the main game and you can repeat much of the content in the demo, hoping to get a super powerful object from a chest or enemy.

Players therefore farm with the demo to fill their fashion library and purchase several legendary games (I managed to make a legendary photo myself).

In a reddit message, developer People Can Fly said that this ‘preload’ of progression within the demo could affect the balance of the progression system in the main game.

“Of course, it’s each player’s decision how to play the game for themselves, and we do not want to prevent people from farming the equipment demo if they enjoy it,” People Can Fly said.

“However, we want to ensure that this process is not too simple, easy or prone to exploitation.”

It didn’t take long before Outriders demo players discovered an “outdoor cave” via a triple chest barrel, as well as through a vendor, and used it for heavy farming.

This is how it works (coming soon, worked): get to level five on the world level (it gives you the best chance of a legendary drop available in the demo), select ‘confront the modified at the tower’ story point from the foyer, load into the game and then run to open the three chests nearby. No battle needed. After opening all three chests, go back to the foyer and repeat.

In response, People Can Fly will release a backend update of the demo today, 5 March, at 15:00 UK time, redirecting farming to mechanics in the game “which could be more enjoyable for players to play through and repeat “.

For that purpose, epic items will no longer appear in stores and vendors within the demo, and chests will no longer drop legendary items. Instead, rewards on a side quest (at repetitions) will now have the chance to drop legendary items. The end result of this is those who want to farm in the demo for legendary will now actually have to perform the side quest.

Note: drop rates for enemies are not changed. So, go ahead and kill that captain. Again and again and again.

Here is my Outriders legendary caught from the demo.

There is more change in the demo. People Can Fly said a patch, which will be put into use early next week, will add a motion blur switch for all platforms, cut off matchmaking time and tackle crashes on a computer.

In the direction of launching the game, People Can Fly said that looking at the annoying camera shake during cuts will improve the coverage system and that it is a way to help players recover items that have mysteriously disappeared.

Meanwhile, People Can Fly said it noticed fraud in the Outriders demo (it didn’t take long!), With some players using third-party software to modify the game files and store data in their favor. For an online cooperative game, this is obviously a problem.

People Can Fly said they can identify fraudsters “with relative ease” via its backend system and promise that their actions should not affect your normal gameplay or your collaborative experience. Holding thumbs.

Solid stuff all around. Check out our Outriders demo impressions to see what we think of the game.
